Lear, a despotic king of Britain, coming to the venerable age made a decision to get rid of the burden of reigning and to give all the possessions to his three daughters keeping only the title and a hundred of knights. But his enormous vanity turned out to be a tragedy. Evil and injustice returned to Lear breaking out and taking away lives.
The director of the performance is a famous Lithuanian director Linas Zaikauskas devoted to the West-European theatre school with poetic symbolism and irony, metaphoric design that he skillfully combines with the traditions of Russian psychological school. The performance is beloved by spectators and deserved the best reviews of critics.
